Lidl Berries & Cherries Muesli Review
REVIEW
At first I was really impressed with this berries and cherries muesli, just overa pound and packed with berries ans stuff and the first spoonful is indeed a bursting taste of sharp berries, juicy raisins and hearty different flavoured oats. But…..the more you eat it the more of a chore it becomes as your jaw tires form the heavy chewing and the sharpness of the berries takes away the initial enjoyment as it gets more tiresome, thats not to say you dont get bored with most other cereal, but I don’t feel that way with Alpen. You certainly can’t question the quality of ingredients on show here especially for the price but actually I feel there is too much ingredients, certainly berries, to get enjoyment out of it and I don’t think I will be picking this one up again any time soon.

Oh dear your poor jaw….
To many berries – what’s your next review, this orange it too orangy.
Very tasty but would prefer it to have less added sugar. It has 39% against the principal competitor which has 24.2%.
I mix this with a bag of ordinary rolled oats. This dilutes the strong fruit taste and is now my favourite cereal.
Was way too bitter/tart for me. With all the sweetened contents I was expecting it to be sweeter, but with a little tart kick. Some of the blueberries made me wince. I tossed it out after trying it both with cold milk and heated like quick oats. Might as well just have a bowl of flavorless oats and undiluted lemon juice… but hey, if you like tart or bitter foods, have at it.
