Aldi Advocaat Review
Nothing says Christmas like a snowball, even as little kids our parents would give us our own like it was no big deal but to us it made us feel grown up. Even to this day, I like a good Advocaat at Christmas and wouldn’t think nothing of knocking back half a bottle as I watch Christmas Specials on TV with the family.
And normally I would go with the well known Warnicks Advocaat but at £10+ and feeling a little miserly I decided to go with the far cheaper but similarly named Winterink Advocaat by Aldi’s at just £5+ it was worth a try. To me it tastes just like Advocaat of old but I was a little skeptical at first (especially before I opened the bottle)because it didnt look the right colour. But once poured as you can see it was clearly chicken yellow and to be fair its a really good Advocaat. To me I can’t taste the difference between this and the top brand and the only real difference other than the price is the alcohol percentage and units are less than a Warwinks brand Advocaat. But at this price I’ll take it and almost buy 2 for the price of 1. So you can stock up on it for your Xmas party and I don’t think anybody would notice any difference in quality unless you are maybe an Advocaat connoissuer…. and I don’t think there’s many of those around.
