Sainsbury’s Tinned Vegetable Chilli Review
Straight away this Vegetable Chilli tastes just like most meat Chillis and Chilli Con Carnes, really it does, obviously without the meat but the flavours are there and actually the ingredients (which are in a colourful abundance) are of better quality than most tinned chilli’s. The Red Kidney Beans are soft and not grainy, the carrots and potatoes are also the right texture although the potato(which come if approx. 8 chunks) is bland and gives no extra flavour. The onions give this a little extra pop of sweetness and the spiciness is OK, I was expecting more heat considering its has 2 chillis on the label but its probably the right amount. Overall its a good quality vegetable chilli with very good flavours and although I am not vegetarian I wouldn’t complain about having this with rice at all and for a pound I would take this any day over lets say a Tesco Tinned Chilli Con Carne and its much much healthier. BTW this would be good for Mexican night for your veggie friends.
