Tesco Curried Baked Beans Review

Tesco have brought out their own brand Curried and BBQ Baked Beans in addition to their Cheesy beans probably in response to Heinz’s success in those flavours and other supermarkets creating similar flavours. At 49p it’s at a good price point but don’t forget you can get Heinz Curried, Cheesy & BBQ beans in Poundland at 2 for a £1 so just remember that.

You can smell the curry flavour as soon as it leaves the tin and at first bite it tastes a bit bland and the curry flavour is a little disappointng. It is a quite sweet flavour overall and you’ll probably notice the sweetness as much as the curry flavour and then the spice begins to hit you. It starts off almost un-noticeable but then it gets quite spicy up to about a medium level which is quite surprising. To me this is more like a spicy beans with a touch of curry flavour more than anything else and its spicier than the Heinz version but not as flavourful.
