Can Cook Tinned Pulled Pork Review
Have you ever been at home and had a mega urge for a pulled pork sandwich but didn’t have any at hand and couldn’t be bothered putting on some pants and popping to the shops? Well, now you prayers may have been answered with tinned pulled from the Can Cook company. This large 340g tin contains a slab of pork(77%) in a smoky BBQ flavour.
It comes as one big slab and you have to break it up yourself. It also contains a lot of clearish liquid which one of our staff accidentally spilled all over someones clothes. Not good.
As you put some in your mouth you get indeed a smoky taste but a burnt smoky taste and another weirdish taste before you get some meat flavour, some slight sweetness and a slight rankishness in the aftertaste. I don’t really like it. The texture is a but grainy at times and very soft but and the meat itself didn’t have much fat at all in it. Look, I know its tinned so I was never expecting the greatest thing since sliced pork but it tastes strange. Once warmed and served in a bun or with a meal it gets a bit better but still those nasty flavours surface at times. Overall I would have to think very hard about picking this up again.
Pork (77%), Water, Brown Sugar, Spices, Paprika, Modified Starch, Onion, Garlic, Salt, Maltodextrin, Flavour Enhancer (E621), Acidity Regulator (E331), Spirit Vinegar (vol. 12%), Black Treacle, Sugar, Smoke Flavour, Tamarind Concentrate.
