Sainsbury’s Tinned Mild Beef Curry Review
Sainsbury’s tinned Mild Beef Curry uses British Beef and is available for £1.50. On the first bite its a little underwhelming, I was expecting more of a burst of flavours but nevertheless you get a mild curry taste(maybe the mild stands for the curry depth and not so much the pepper) with good hints of lemon and herbs before the spice arrives eventually at a fair heat considering it has been classified at 1 pepper on the label. The beef is stringy at times and not strong in flavour and some of the cuts had quite large bits of fat content on them.
So, it is definitely a mild curry in terms of actual flavour I would say, but the overall flavour that is there is quite good with the spice being the predominant ingredient and the other ingredients in danger of being a bit lacklustre. With rice, it tends to lose more flavour to an already weak taste and does get lost in the meal. Overall, it’s a bit disappointing from Sainsbury’s.
