Aldi Salmon Paste Review
I haven’t had Meat Paste or Fish Paste since I was a kid but I still remember it fondly as my Mum used to put it on some buttered bread for a snack and I do remember liking it…..or tolerating it. But, now its time to try it again with Aldi’s Hunter’s brand Salmon Paste which is made up of 67% Salmon Salmo Salar which is the Atlantic salmon.
The texture is similar to what I remember, its a bit drier but still easily spreadable and that familiar taste is there. Its fishy, not too rank at all, and yes it does have a Salmony like flavour but overall its not a strong flavour and can get lost if you don’t spread enough on your bread (or cracker), but a decent enough taste, not too fishy which is good. And yeah its like the old days, I quite enjoyed it to be honest, I’m gonna go and get some thin fresh bread and do a couple of slices. I got the urge!
