Aldi Cacao Hike Bar Review
We tried the Berry Hike version a while back and they received a warm reception from viewers. This is the Cocoa version and was surprised to hear many crunching sounds as I cut into this solid thick bar. It was filled with little Rice(actually Soya) Crispies, they weren’t too noticeable at first but you can definitely see them once you peek inside.
The bar may seem hard on the outside, but its definitely softer to the bite than it seems. Its got subtle tastes, a bit of cocoa and bit of Christmas pud, nothing strong but a decent general cocoa pudding taste. The texture is also a bit like a Jamaican malt loaf, chewy but spongey, and the crispies serve only as a little extra crunch in your mouth. The aftertaste is a hot chocolately enjoyable calmness with a few crispies and bits of cashew nuts hanging around your mouth but not really annoying.
I like this bar, I like the flavours and ingredient mix, not too overwhelming like the Berry version, just the right amount of flavours in my opinion and I would definitely buy it again especially at this price.
