Aldi Festive Feast Sandwich Review
REVIEW
Its that time of year again and Aldi are adding to their Festive products with 2 new Christmas sarnies. This one is the Festive Feast featuring ” Succulent Turkey Breast, Smoked Bacon, Cranberry Chutney & Seasoned Pork Stuffing on Malted Bread”. It doesn’t look that packed and appealing like an M&S Christmas sandwich but for the price it looks decent.
Although it doesn’t look very spectacular, it tastes very festive and filling. The Turkey, stuffing and sweetness from the Cranberry immediately hit your tastebuds at the same time to give you that instant Christmas meal feeling in your mouth. On closer inspection, there is plenty of meat in these sandwiches, the Turkey is in half inch thick chunks at times and although mixed in with the stuffing, the pork flavour is strong enough to find its way into your tastebuds. And lets not forget the bacon slices, although thin and a bit fatty, it just adds to the extra flavour, that little bit of saltiness that only bacon fat can give you. And finally the sweetness, I like how the Cranberry Chutney comes in almost towards the end and gives it an enjoyable sweetness that balances just right. The bread is not too heavy or thick and gives off just the right balance of brown malty bread flavour. The bread is also soft and manageable and doesn’t get in the way of the flavours inside.
Overall, if you made this at home with left overs you’d be happy with your creation so forget the hassle and just pick up one of these because for the price you’re getting a good deal and you will enjoy it.
