Aldi Sticky Bourbon BBQ Wings Review
New at Aldi’s are these ready cooked “Sweet & Smoky Sticky Bourbon BBQ Chicken Wings” ready to eat hot or cold. Each pack contains 6 small chicken wings(and a mini wing in my pack) and look more like mini drumsticks than anything else and a good sized sachet of Bourbon BBQ sauce that is plenty enough to cover all the wings.
When all the sauce has been applied, the wings straight away have a sweet American Barbecue sauce flavour and then a good little hint of liquor appears and then the spice comes in tingling the tips of your tongue(rated 1 pepper on the packet) and gives a long lasting spice aftertaste, I would rate it at a low to low-medium at times. The chicken itself tastes fresh, as can be expected, and I don’t have much problems with the overall taste of this product, the problem that I have is that some of the wings have about as much skin and fat as meat, and although it doesn’t bother me personally, some of the wings were still a bit feathery.
Overall, a decent product, good tastes but not enough product and not enough meat on the bone, I know they’re wings but you can get much more in say Iceland for the price.
