Weetabix Additions Coconut & Raisins Review
I recently saw on TV how they make Weetabix, it was interesting to see how they flatten the wheat and ball it up and finally mould it into the cereal we all know and love. I’m a big fan of the original Weetabix although some of the spin offs have been quite tasty I always go back to the original, because you can do anything you like with the good ol’ plain wheat thingy, sometimes I just like drowning it in milk, adding sugar and just mushing it up before swallowing it down.
But, I have to say this Coconut and Raisin flavour is growing on me. Its definitely more crumblier than the normal biscuit (and thats saying something) and when you look at it its not exactly packed with these new ingredients but the coconut definitely comes thru, nice and slightly subtle and not too overwhelming but its always there. The raisins are very small, but plump, and they give a good little pop of sweetness to the mix that definitely compliments this biscuit, my only gripe being that there may not be enough raisins as they do get lost at times.
Overall I do like it, I do like the 2 additional flavours and when you add other stuff like in my case, oats and Corn Flakes, it gives the mix a good extra tropically flavour that works well.
