Lidl Solevita Coconut Water Review
REVIEW
Similar to Aldi in price at £1.79, is this 1 litre Coconut Water. I don’t know why but I always have an underlying feeling that many Aldi products are just the same as Lidl products just labelled different. And while the Aldi Coco Loco Coconut Water was pretty bad, I am pleased to say that the Lidl one is absolutely……terrible, I mean really terrible, the worst Coconut Water yet that we have reviewed, and boy have we reviewed many.
I don’t know where to start, you know when you drink something and you have an initial expectation on how its generally going to taste, and then you taste it and it tastes completely different and off, well this is what this drink is like. Its watery, its got a nasty taste and background taste, it just tastes wrong. There is a slight resemblance of taste to a Coconut Water but generally its pretty bad. Its almost undrinkable and you get a feeling that you want to take it back and get your money back, even though most of us generally don’t do that but still that feeling is there and when that feeling is there you know its a bad product.
And one more thing, the drink left a greasy, bitty residue afterwards in the cup pictured above, I’ve never seen that in a Coconut Water before.

I enjoy this coconut water and I’ve tried quite few. I think the flavour is soft and refreshing. Like all coconut water, in my opinion, it needs to be drunk ice cold from the fridge. I put it in the freezer for an hour or two so lumps of ice begin to form inside the carton…then leave it in the ordinary fridge so that the ice keeps it very cold. Delicious for hydration after physical activity like running, cycling etc.
I really enjoyed this coconut water. I have tasted many different types from different supermarkets and this one is the best I have ever had. know it’s not 100% but it is close enough. I will continue to buy it. Very refreshing when it’s cold. I will refer it to all my friends and family as well.
Reminds me of home
Have you ever drunk the real coconut water? If yes, then you know how this lidl drink should taste. If not, then expect the worst taste ever that you can imagine. This review says everything. That is pure money spend direct in the bin. Is nothing else then a bad product
I am going to buy this product from both Aldi and Lidl.
I have up till now purchased mine from Sainsbury’s.
It is however twice the price, hence I’m looking for a cheaper alternative.
I travel to Jamaica sometimes twice a year and know the taste of fresh coconut water and jelly.
Coconut milk and cream…….
I will give a true an honest review once I have tasted the product’s from both stores.
Lovely coconut water
