Bounce Protein Ball Review
Protein Burst products used to be the domain of the body builder and athlete but in the last 5 years they’ve gone mainstream and are now taking over supermarket checkout shelves like this product. For £4 you get 3 individually packed “energy balls” about 5cm X 4cm and 2.5cm thick that are “packed with protein energy” and contain 9g of protein in every ball. They are available in various stores individually for about £1.49-£1.99.
Not exactly as round as a ball, these smell like dark chocolate and are packed round the surface with chocolate chips, whey protein and seeds. They are really quite hard and chewy and not as sweet as I thought they would be. To be honest they taste like a weak, much less sweeter version of a Quality Street, you know the one that has that chocolate orange flavour. The flavour is actually growing on me a bit, I could get used to it, its like a sweet but not sweet in taste but still has flavour. The chewiness does put me off a bit as it takes a lot of chewing but apart from that I do quite like it as a protein burst but like a lot of these products its not as healthy as I’d like but that’s how it is.
